This position plays a vital role in managing a small group of hourly associates, directing the movement of water treatment parts, pieces, and systems within specified productivity, cost, and quality standards, and communicating with cross functional departments.

This position is based out of Atlantic Filter an A.O. Smith Water Treatment company in West Palm Beach, FL. Atlantic Filter is a manufacturer and dealer of quality water treatment equipment for residential, commercial, institutional, and industrial use.

Responsibilities

  1. Assigns, directs, and monitors the work of hourly assembly/warehouse associates.
  2. Works closely AOS site General Manager and other team members to coordinate workflow across all departments in order to produce quality products in a safe and efficient manner.
  3. Manages Shipping and Receiving, while working closely with Purchasing.
  4. Motivates associates to ensure that predetermined productivity, cost, and quality standards are achieved or exceeded.
  5. Ensures safety and housekeeping of facility including coordinating building maintenance work as needed
  6. Trains new associates in the use of equipment, processes and procedures.
  7. Prepares and submits daily and weekly paperwork.
  8. Recommends manpower requirements based on volume.
  9. Handles personnel management in conjunction with HR, including hiring employees and managing team member’s performance.
  10. Provide customer service to wholesale customers that arrive at the dock to pick up products.
  11. Answer product related questions to in-person customers as needed. 
  12. May perform other duties as assigned.

 Additional Qualifications: 

  • Distribution or manufacturing experience.
  • Sage or SAP experience desired.
  • Forklift certification desired.
  • Ability to lift 50ls occasionally.
  • Minimum job content knowledge: Basic knowledge of economy of motion techniques.
  • Ability to handle people under high-stress situations.

Associate Degree

Years of Experience

Minimum of 3 years of related work experience or training
4-5 Years of Supervisory/Leadership Experience
