About the role

The Berri Estates Winery is the largest grape processing winery in the Southern Hemisphere, crushing hundreds of thousands of tonnes each vintage. It is our team that make this possible, a team you can be part of for vintage 2025. Vintage is a fantastic opportunity for those new to the industry to experience and learn the skills for a potential career in the wine industry. 
 

Key responsibilities

Our Vintage Cellar Hands operate a variety of plant and machinery to begin the winemaking process, some of the tasks you may be involved in, include;

• Crusher Operations
• Pressing (bags, screw, and drainers)
• Fermentation
• Filtering (RDV operation, Crossflows, Centrifuges)
• Transfers and additions
   

What you’ll bring

Whether you are a school leaver, on a working holiday or returning for another vintage this role could be for you if you have;

Essential;

• Full working rights – visa holders included
• Good communication
• Literacy and numeracy skills
• Ability to work rotating shift work (including some weekends)

Desirable;

• Previous wine industry experience
• Forklift Licence
• Confined space ticket
