Role Details

Reports to the Maintenance Manager, this role has no direct reports.

Your Key Accountabilities

Maintenance Fitter:

• Attend to equipment breakdowns as prioritised.
•  Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance on all winery plant and machinery.
•  Minor project work as directed.
•  General site maintenance as required, including maintenance of buildings.
   

Maintenance Electrician:

• Ensure in conjunction with the Eelectrical Supervisor / Leading Hand, all electrical equipment is maintained in a safe condition
• Undertake / Implement preventative maintenance programs as required in both the winery and packaging facilities
• Ensure the timely completion of Maintenance Request forms and Job Sheets
• Mainpac data entry is performed in a timely manner to accurately show all work completed
• Day-to-day breakdown maintenance in both the Winery and Packaging facility
• Repair and maintain all electrical equipment and process control in conjunction with site based SOP’s
• Communicate openly with fellow workers and ensure work is handed over at change of shift
• Report all faults and likely problem areas to prevent breakdowns wherever possible
• Install wiring and circuits for extensions and additions to work sites as required
• Carry out electrical fitting, low voltage switching, process control and instrumentation as required
• Maintain communications and telecommunications systems
• Ensure safe work practices near live electrical equipment in conjunction with Accolade policies and procedures
• Undertake on site capital project works in liaison with the Engineering Department
• Maintain lighting, power outlets, RCD’s emergency lighting and portable appliance tagging through internal and external resources.

Essential Qualifications

Maintenance Fitter:

• Trade qualification as Fitter or Machinist with at least 2 years’ experience in a similar role
• Drivers Licence
• Maintenance experience preferred
• Wine industry experience preferred
• NREL 1&2 (Restricted Electrical Licence)
• Forklift Licence, EWP and Scissor Lift/Boom Lift Certification (Yellow Card)
• TIG/MIG Welding
• Fluid Power, Pneumatics and Hydraulics
• First Aid
• Incumbents are also to refer to the Competency Standards Stream for Maintenance on Redmap for skill assessments.  Streams are: Electrical, Fabrication and Mechanical. 
   

Maintenance Electrician:

• Experience in a large winery or FMCG environment
• The ability to work under pressure
• The ability to work on multiple tasks at the same time
• The ability to prioritise critical tasks and cope with changing priorities
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Reliable, responsible and able to maintain alertness
• Above 14mt Boom lift licence would be an advantage
• EQP / Scissor lift licence would be an advantage
