This position is preferred assigned to One Energy Plaza located in Jackson, MI but other locations may be considered as well.  The selected candidate must be within a commutable distance from those locations or willing to relocate (relocation package is available for those that qualify).

 

We are looking for:   Senior Project Manager (Clean Energy Real Estate) – Two (2) Openings

 

The Senior Project Manager manages multiple complex and cross-functional projects and their impact on the organization and staff while overseeing the work of project team members. Produces quality results by managing personnel, creating project schedules, timelines, requirements, budgets, and maximizing efficiency of resources to ensure measurable outcomes. Partners with cross-functional teams to leverage project management tools and innovative technologies to enhance productivity and collaborate on complex issues developing sound business recommendations for leadership. They will prepare and present progress updates to appropriate management channels on a regular basis, ensuring the innovation and results laid out in the project plan are achieved.  The Senior Project Manager may manage regulatory initiatives for filings including general rate proceedings before the MPSC and thus will keep abreast of regulatory orders and relevant filings of other stakeholders to effectively advise and review work of cross-functional teams.

In this role, you will be responsible for:  

 

  • Develop landowner negotiation strategy and execution plan for projects.
  • Provide clear and accurate communications, discussions, negotiations with stakeholders including preparing and performing presentations for external stakeholders and outside agencies
  • Effectively manage Real Estate related spend for projects by providing necessary budgets, forecasting and financial analysis
  • Interpret survey drawings, engineering, construction and plan & profile drawings, title and abstracts
  • Review and interpret existing property rights, redline and counter-redline legal documents, and align and coordinate with CE Legal and outside counsel
  • Align and coordinate with numerous external client groups to Real Estate, such as EPM Project Management, Engineering, Design, Planning, Forestry, Construction, and Community Affairs
  • Establishes project feasibility by examining project alignment with organization strategies and plans; completing cost-benefit and information and analyses
  • Oversees the coordination and implementation of projects to effectively migrate staff from one project/process to another
  • Develops and implements planning for assigned projects and serves as lead contact for internal and external project partners to meet business requirement
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration on matters with multiple complex issues, both in team settings and independently, to prioritize and execute quality solutions for time-critical projects
  • Manages scope, quality, timeframes, and project budget; develops and maintains feedback and evaluates information; maintains project documents and all communications
  • Supervise and manage an assigned portfolio of projects/ initiatives through active cross-functional engagement with internal business partners/ leadership and external stakeholders
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned projects, providing updates to clients and internal stakeholders on project status, changes, and risks
  • Conduct quality assurance testing to ensure all deliverables meet or exceed expectations. Develop a strategic recommendation, setting objectives, implementing and executing strategic plans, and evaluating and measuring performance
  • Provide proactive, clear, concise and timely communications regarding project status and overall performance reporting among team members, company leadership and internal/external stakeholders; Facilitate continuous exchange of ideas, information and project developments
  • Supervise and manage an assigned portfolio of projects/ initiatives through active cross-functional engagement with internal business partners/ leadership and external stakeholders
  • Responsible for regulatory adherence and independently determining business impacts including strategic opportunities and risks, and advise cross-functional teams and leadership accordingly
  • Other non-essential duties as assigned or may be necessary
