Opportunity to play a key role in an international, $5 Billion+ publicly traded company headquartered outside of Atlanta. This role will report to the Senior Manager, International Tax, and will interface with our corporate treasury and finance teams, along with our global finance teams supporting our Global Tax Strategy and Risk. The ideal candidate has a strong International tax foundation, as well as a strong work ethic, critical thinking skills, the desire to drive change and process improvement, and ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.   

What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be…

 

  • Interact on a regular basis with regional and corporate financial personnel so as to ensure that they are fully informed and adding value in areas of compliance, tax financial reporting, and operational/development support 
  • Support international income tax compliance including preparation of required information (i.e., Earnings & Profits, Subpart F, GILTI, Section 988 etc.) provided to 3rd party advisors
  • Prepare and/or review U.S. international tax forms such as Forms 8832, 5471, 8858, 8865 and 1118
  • Draft internal memoranda to document transactions, research conclusions, and return-filing positions
  • Support the development and implementation of global tax strategies by completing ETR and cash tax modeling with a US international tax mindset
  • Support international tax related accounting required under US GAAP including ASC 740 and coordinate with external tax advisors 
  • Work Closely with the financial team and business unit management, assisting on global income tax accounting and special projects with their respective business units 
  • Provide assistance in foreign income tax audits
  • Prepare international tax account reconciliations for monthly, quarterly, and annual as required
  • Support preparation and maintenance of international tax controls documentation for SOX compliance
  • Contribute to building high-performance culture and positive work environment in remote tax team, including strong communication across a remote environment

Your Education Should Be…

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting 
  • CPA certification preferred 

    Your Professional Experience Should Be…

     

    • Minimum 2-3 years of public accounting experience (Big 4 or Large Regional Preferred)
    • Experience with ASC 740 and international tax law knowledge is a must  
    • Experience in international compliance and planning
