Overview

What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be…

  • Supervises employees, tasks and duties related to quality control ensuring site objectives are met.
  • Maintains and improves safe work habits and places across the quality team.
  • Develops, assesses, implements, and maintains processes and policies designed to test and inspect products and services.
  • Monitors and evaluates current auditing, testing, and inspection processes, making recommendations for improvements.
  • Enforces regulatory compliance.
  • Conducts visual and physical inspections of company products and materials.
  • Completes, monitors and maintains timely calibration and verification of equipment and gauges through internal and external resources.
  • Other duties, as assigned.

Your Education Should Be…

  • High school diploma or GED

Your Physical Work Environment Will Require…

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk and sit.  Frequently uses hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls and reach with hands and arms.  Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl.  Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color evaluations and the ability to adjust focus.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. Moderate to loud noise level in the work environment

Your Professional Experience Should Be…

  • 5+ years of Quality experience, heavy industrial manufacturing is preferred.
  • Previous experience leading and supervising quality personnel.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of ISO Management Systems.
  • Knowledge of ASME pressure vessel code.
  • Knowledge of AAR code compliance.
  • ASQ certification, a plus.
  • Experience reading and interpreting blueprints and work orders.
  • Intermediate to advanced math skills (weight measurement, volume, distance, multiplication, division, percentage, and conversions).
  • Strong time management and attention to detail, essential.
  • Proven ability to identify, reason and problem solve larger non-conformities and deviations.  
  • Welding experience, a plus.
  • Overtime and weekend hours, as needed.
