We are looking for:

 

The Principal People & Culture Business Partner will assist the Director of Human Resources NorthStar Clean Energy in the design and execution of new compensation systems, career development programs, leadership and organizational development initiatives, talent management programs and the overall creation of a strong employee value proposition for NorthStar Clean Energy.

 

Knowledge/skills/and abilities:

 

  • Diagnostic skills with the ability to quickly identify areas of improvement needed in various areas of the Human Resources Function.

 

  • Solid understanding of leading change and change management.

 

  • Collaboration skills, proven success in working with others across the HR Function, Centers of Excellence and business to deliver results.

 

  • The ability to communicate effectively throughout all levels of the organization.

 

  • Planning skills with proven success in project design, planning and execution.

 

  • Influencing skills.

 

  • Prioritization and time management skills.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or Organizational Behavior

 

  • 7+ years of relevant work experience which includes experience working within a large, progressive HR function.  Experience in compensation, performance management, talent management and leadership/organizational development.

 

Preferred

 

Master’s in Business Administration or Human Resources

 

 

In this role, you will:  

 

  • Provides strategy and coaching to Sr. Managers and Executives with respect to workforce/succession planning, employee retention, employee development and performance management.

 

  • Co-Lead the development of structured performance management processes and then helps administer the processes on an annual basis.

 

  • Research and benchmarks progressive, best-in-class talent management strategies and tools, gains alignment then deploys across the broader NorthStar Business.

 

  • Partner with the Director of Human Resources, Compensation Center of Excellence and consultants to design a compensation strategy and system that aligns with NorthStar’s Business Model. This position may also identify new recognition programs.

 

  • Understand the current/future organizational capability needs of the business and partners with both internal and external partners to create leadership and technical development programs.

 

  • Assist and support the Director of Human Resources with various project as needed.

 

  • Leverage data analytics and culture survey results to understand workforce trends and develops strategies for organizational development or improvement in the culture of NorthStar Clean Energy.

 

  • Lead and drive the implementation of change management activities across assigned business NorthStar Clean Energy.
