About the Role:

Applications are now invited for a Level 3 role in the Capital Markets Governance Team. 

 

Capital Markets serves AIB’s large and medium sized business customers, as well as our Private Banking clients.   A comprehensive product offering combined with deep sector expertise allows us to develop long-term, strategic relationships with our customers. Our strategic ambition is to be Ireland’s leading capital markets provider, delivering a full range of solutions to Irish businesses through a seamless relationship driven model.  In September 2021, Goodbody became part of Capital Markets bringing additional capability in wealth management, corporate finance, asset managed and wider capital markets propositions.

 

The Capital Markets Governance team provides support to all Capital Markets areas, by driving consistent risk management practices to enable compliance with the letter and spirit of all internal policies defined by the second line to underpin the Bank’s governance framework and to comply with all relevant regulations. The team is a dynamic and professional team which engages with stakeholders across the bank.  

 

Key Responsibilities Include:

 

  • Acting as centralised point of contact for Operational, Compliance, Conduct, Related Party Lending & Fitness & Probity related queries.
  • Run key governance committees for Capital Markets (Governance & Assurance Forum, Conduct and Risk & Capital Committees).
  • Supporting the Capital Markets Regulatory and Governance Change initiatives.
  • Supporting Managing Director of Capital Markets in bi-annual Level 1 RCA Review & Challenge sessions and ExCo attestations.
  • Report and manage Non- credit RAS metrics (People, Operational Risk, Compliance & Conduct).

 

 

What you will bring:

 

  • Proven track record of accurately compiling reports and information on 1LOD governance to senior management team members.
  • Ability to work with management across multiple business teams to monitor risk metrics and management information and to track actions to be undertaken across multiple functions.
  • Ability to work with stakeholders in multiple business units to share learnings, best practices and to drive operational efficiency.
  • Self-starter with ability to work on own initiative with strong attention to detail, completing tasks to a very high degree of accuracy.
  • Experience in a risk management discipline in a Financial Services environment would be desirable (e.g., Operational Risk, Compliance, Credit Risk, Internal Audit).
