The Role

We’re looking for an experienced Content Lead to join our fully remote, award-winning internal agency. As Content Lead, you’ll work with a diverse team to create compelling, effective and results-driven creative that moves customers from click to cart – while positioning Lumen as a leading enterprise technology company. If you’ve got 5+ years of writing experience, a love for tech and a desire to work in a friendly, fast-paced B2B environment, then we’d love to hear from you!

 

In this role, you’ll be operating as one of the senior members/leaders of our Creative team – working on the Web team and collaborating with UX, Video, Design, Project Management and Creative Leadership to deliver industry-leading creative across our enterprise tech portfolio. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in writing for web and highly conceptual – leveraging storytelling and strategic insight to solve complex business problems and generate top-of-funnel leads.

The Main Responsibilities

  • Work from a creative brief to generate strong, results-driven concepts
  • Help lead projects from concept to buy-in to production – ensuring quality, accuracy and brand consistency
  • Produce creative across a wide range of deliverables – including campaigns, video, social, web and ecommerce
  • Partner with Art Directors, Campaign Managers and Project Managers to develop new campaigns, set creative direction and execute on those ideas
  • Help define, implement and champion the Lumen brand voice across all products and platforms
  • Share expertise and provide ongoing mentorship to senior- and mid-level copywriters
  • Leverage AI to increase speed and efficiency within early concepts and drafts, as appropriate

What We Look For in a Candidate

  • 5+ years of relevant copywriting experience – leading creative for web, social, digital, video and more
  • B2B copywriting experience for a tech company or clients
  • Experience managing creative teams and/or projects
  • In-depth knowledge of branding and marketing concepts
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable working in PowerPoint, Word and project management tools (think Workfront, Bynder, Asana, etc.)
  • Comfortable working remotely full time
  • Urgency, adaptability, lack of ego, willingness to fail forward and leverage data to drive decisions
  • Portfolio website and/or digital samples of past work
  • Experience using data and analytics to drive creative decisions and optimize on a regular cycle preferred
  • Great communication, collaboration and organizational skills – including some creative leadership experience
  • Ability to distill complex topics into concise, compelling and customer-centric stories
  • Comfortable presenting ideas internally to peers, managers, stakeholders and more
  • Strategic, problem-solving approach to everything you do
  • Ability to work autonomously when needed and deliver work on a tight schedule
  • Willingness to take risks, make mistakes and never stop learning
  • A love for creativity, exploration and innovation in all its forms
  • Comfortable writing without the serial comma

Compensation

The starting salary for this role differs based on the employee’s primary work location. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on each individual’s qualifications.

 

Location Based Pay Ranges

$80510 – $107340 in these states: AR, ID, KY, LA, ME, MS, NE, SC, and SD.
$84740 – $112980 in these states: AZ, AL, FL, GA, IN, IA, KS, MO, MT, NM, ND, OH, OK, PA, TN, UT, VT, WV, WI, and WY.
$88980 – $118630 in these states: CO, HI, MI, MN, NV, NH, NC, OR, and RI.
$93210 – $124280 in these states: AK, CA, CT, DE, DC, IL, MD, MA, NJ, NY, TX, VA, and WA.

 

As with the pay range variety that’s based on the region of a country, specific offers are determined by various factors such as experience, education, skills, certifications and other business needs.
