This position is with NorthStar Clean Energy, a CMS Energy company, and is not a position of employment with Consumers Energy.   

 

We are looking for:

 

The Commercial Analyst will record, maintain, and track Commercial origination opportunities. They will also develop insightful ad hoc and/or standardized management reports and analysis to measure the performance of Commercial efforts required to support NorthStar Clean Energy assets (e.g., utility scale wind, solar, storage assets as well as operational thermal assets and on-site solar + battery). The Commercial Analyst will ensure the accuracy of data, assume the ownership of the CRM and other Commercial digital tools that may be utilized to perform these functions and be the point to advance any CRM System/Process improvements. They may also be involved in various commercial analysis that may be required in budgeting and forecasting exercises and other relevant Commercial analytical functions.

 

 

Knowledge/skills/and abilities:

 

  • Strong analytics and problem-solving skills.

 

  • Ability to break down complex processes and data into simpler parts for tracking, reporting and analysis purposes.

 

  • Ability to communicate with business customers and team members effectively.

 

  • Be able to interface with other key stakeholders effectively and efficiently within NorthStar Clean Energy including Business Development, Finance, Transactions team members and other relevant constituents.

 

  • Highly organized with great attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple high priorities in a fast-paced environment while under pressure.

  • Bachelor’s degree Business, Sales, Marketing or Business Development

 

  • 2+ years of relevant experience to include supporting customers, sales, or business development

 

 

In this role, you will:  

 

  • Act as a point-of-resource to in Commercial organization relating to customer data as well as the CRM and other Commercial digital tools.

 

  • Create and interpret data from as well as maximize characteristics and benefits of the CRM system.

 

  • Work with various internal stakeholders to enhance customers, origination, and marketing functions based on CRM capabilities.

 

  • Make sure the CRM’s data is accurate and reliable; work with relevant internal stakeholder to troubleshoot when necessary.

 

  • Create training materials and conduct workshops to train the CRM users.

 

  • Stay on top of relevant statistics, including close rates, Origination opportunity trends in various stages of Sales funnel, customer retention rate, customer segmentation behaviors, etc.

 

  • Understand and analyze digital KPIs, develop scorecards and reports on results to management team and other stakeholders. Continuously refine this process based on metric analysis.

 

  • Collaborate with Origination and Marketing teams to analyze business trends, perform ad hoc market and customer centric research and analysis as required and customize reports from the CRM.

 

  • Other non-essential duties as assigned or may be necessary.
