Applied Industrial Technologies is an extensive network of industrial distribution and shop facilities located throughout Canada. We currently have an immediate opening for a full time Apprentice Mechanic/Hydraulic Technician in our Delta, BC shop location.  Salary Range – $28.00-$46.00 depending on experience and level of training completed.

 

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Work in a safe manner, follow overall company safety program
  • Follow instructions and have strong mechanical sense 
  • Disassemble, clean, and inspect rotating equipment and related components with a focus on gearboxes and power transmission equipment
  • Measure using micrometers, verniers, and other precision measuring tools
  • Work in a team environment to efficiently achieve a high standard of quality and service to Applied’s extensive customer base
  • Other tasks as required

 

Preference will be given to candidates who possess some or all the following qualifications:

  • Apprentices in similar trades with relevant shop experience (Machinist, Automotive, Industrial)
  • Energetic and focused personality with willingness to learn
  • high level of attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize and number of tasks and complete a variety of work assignments within structured deadlines.
  • Ability to use verbal skills to effectively communicate technical information.
