The Tax Expert is responsible for keeping businesses compliant with various national and local corporate tax regulations. This role performs estimations, analyses, planning and research as well as overseeing audits.

What will your job look like?

Key responsibilities

  1. Assists in the preparation, review and execution of annual, quarterly, and monthly corporate tax returns and attachments (such as income taxes, GST/VAT/SST, withholding taxes, FBT, etc.) of Amdocs Entities in the APAC region.
  2. Ensures that Amdocs Entities in APAC region comply with relevant tax laws and regulations, and that tax returns and payments are processed accurately and in a timely manner.
  3. Prepares or reviews yearly and quarterly tax provisions calculations, including current/deferred/total income tax expenses, reconciliation of prior year financial statement tax provision to prior year tax returns as filed (i.e., return to provision adjustments), etc. for statutory and management purposes.
  4. Reviews tax provisioning and identifies tax implications of notes and disclosures in financial statements.
  5. Vouches and reviews invoices, official receipts and other documents supporting financial transactions to ensure compliance with both direct and indirect taxes.
  6. Performs data analyses as needed by Management and other Stakeholders.
  7. Supports in the preparation of transfer pricing studies in the region.
  8. Prepares any ad hoc information or requested data need by Corporate Headquarters.
  9. You will liaise with internal and external stakeholders (e.g., customers, tax agents, tax authorities, etc.), as needed.
  10. Ensure that the company’s activities comply with legal, professional, and ethical standards.

All you need is…

    • 4-6 years of experience in Philippine corporate taxes (e.g., corporate income tax, GST/VAT, withholding taxes, etc), with preferred knowledge in APAC regional corporate taxation
    • Certified Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
    • Knowledge in basic accounting and understanding of accounting systems
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel – up to the advanced level
    • Good communication skills / Proficient in English
    • Work experience in “Big Four” Firms an advantage
    • Experience in using ERP systems such as SAP an advantage

    1. Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
    2. Tax degree if applicable
