Job Description

 

The Senior Technical Architect needs to be an individual with deep knowledge and experience.  He will be a key player of the Center of Excellence for Citizen developper with a role of Process Expert and Platform Architect. He focuses on providing guidance and expertise.  He can also focus on identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. He sets over-arching direction for platforms and environment strategy. Aligns with EA, dev best practices. 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Understand and represent the user’s needs. 
  • Align stakeholders around the vision of the product. 
  • Be involved in monitoring, reporting, and improve product performance. 
  • Strong business and technical vision. 
  • Understanding processes and be able to slice it.  Build and architecture high level with it 
  • Paint the path to service implementation through elegant architecture and automation flows. 
  • Experience in consulting, leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, and conflict resolution. 
  • Attention to detail, good analytical and problem-solving skills, and critical thinking. 
  • Ability to explain technical challenges and solutions to various audiences. 
  • Possess excellent communication and customer service skills, both written and oral. 
  • Demonstrate the ability to organize, prioritize, plan, and deliver work and commitments in a timely manner. 
  • Regularly solicit feedback from citizen developers and IT teams to identify areas for improvement. 

Governance and Risk Management

 

  • You might be asked to participate in Implementing policies and procedures to ensure that applications developed by citizen developers are secure, compliant, and aligned with the organization’s IT strategy. 
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with citizen development, such as data security, compliance, and system integration. 
  • Encourage citizen developers to follow best practices for development, testing, and deployment. 
  • Promote collaboration through active relationship management with business stakeholders. 
  • Sharpen your leadership skills with the latest technologies, with access to vast resources and without limitations. 
  • Embody and foster a culture of problem solving and quality delivery. 
  • Expose problems and turn them into learning and growth experiences. 
  • Foster an environment oriented on trust, knowledge sharing, creative thinking, and cohesive team effort.

Critical Qualifications

 

  • 8+ years of system technical and business analysis.
  • Be familiar with the low-code/no-code platforms concepts.
  • Post-secondary degree in Software/Computer Engineering or a related field.
  • Knowledge of IT Service Management process best practices based on ITIL.
  • Energetic personality, persuasive, encouraging, and motivating.
  • Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills in both English and French.
  • Keep abreast of the latest trends and technologies in citizen development.
  • Expert knowledge with tools such as JIRA, MS Project, etc. 

Communication and Collaboration

 

  •  Act as a bridge between citizen developers, IT teams, and business stakeholders. 

  •  Foster a collaborative environment where citizen developers can learn from each other and IT professionals. 

  • Offer guidance and support to citizen developers, helping them navigate the development process. 

  •  Actively listen to the needs and challenges of both citizen developers and business users.

Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
