About the Senior Director Goodbody Wealth Management Regions role

This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with strong leadership, communication skills and a strategic mindset to significantly grow the presence of Goodbody Wealth Management outside of Dublin by providing a consistent and scalable service to clients using the best of Goodbody products and services. This individual will need to have a strong regional presence, both in our regional offices and at regional client meetings/events.
The Senior Director will report to the Head of Wealth Advisory and will be responsible for managing an existing multi-billion Euro client book. This role is a Controlled Function (CF).
Senior Director Accountabilities include:
Regional Strategy:
Development of a multi-segment strategy and operating model for the regions, incorporating all aspects of Goodbody’s proposition. This will include:
• Defining key roles and accountabilities of all staff within scope.
• Designing and delivering on the optimum operating model to support mass affluent, HNW and UHNW clients in the regions. This will involve outlining the engagement and interaction with other Goodbody product, segment and central teams and implementing a clear plan for increasing our target client base;
• Devising and overseeing advisor hiring plans to help achieve the regional strategy, including the evaluation of new regions/areas/hubs for growth;
• Ensuring the optimal use of resources, both on team and from central resources to help achieve the regional strategy.
Sales and Offices:
Oversight, enhancement and strategic overhaul of the Goodbody’s regional presence:
• Responsibility for the combined offices annual budget with input into the overall Wealth Management budgeting process.
• Grow assets and revenue (focused on high quality fee revenue) in line with budget and develop a clear strategy and approach to retaining and growing clients.
• Ensure delivery of suitable products including core discretionary, advisory and financial planning propositions to clients as well as working closely with the various stakeholders for each business line to ensure continuity in the delivery of advice and position the regions for well managed growth.
• Develop and maintain key client and business relationships with an emphasis on growing Goodbody’s regional presence in Ireland.
• With the support of Goodbody Brand, deliver client events in key regional centres.
Leadership
• Lead and develop a team of wealth professionals responsible for the provision of advice for the investment and planning needs of clients with the objective of strong client retention, increasing share of wallet and growing new clients.
• Deliver and communicate clear reporting and monitoring structures, including appropriate KPIs within the team to ensure well managed growth and compliance with all advisor obligations, ensuring compliance in the management of client mandates in line with investment policy.
• Ensure the team is set up to cross-sell our propositions and capabilities, including discretionary, financial planning, pensions and alternative investments.
• Maintain the highest level of personal and professional standards in line with the Fitness & Probity regime.
Qualifications and Experience
• Registered Representative Examination/Certificate in Stockbroking, CFP
• Primary degree or relevant professional qualification.
• A minimum of 10 years’ experience, with proven record in the financial advisory and investment management business.
• A proven record of leading and managing a team of investment professionals, business development, together with a track record of working on his/ her own initiative and delivering on targets.
