The Role

 

Reporting to the Global Inventory and Strategic Sourcing Senior Finance Manager, the Global Inventory and Strategic Sourcing Senior Analyst will be responsible for ensuring wine inventory positions are optimised, balancing risk and supporting future growth. Develop and drive execution of the Accolade Wines strategy, in conjunction with key business partners. This is a 12-month Fixed Term Contract role and is based in Adelaide.

Role Responsibilities

 

  • Support delivery of financial targets for grape and bulk wine sourcing, maintain a strong R&O and forecasting process
  • Perform analysis of monthly Inventory results, including future focused, actionable commentary and insights
  • Support the formulation and development of the sourcing strategy in partnership with GSLT, Grape Supply Director and Bulk Wine Trading
  • Provide analytical support to ensure AW’s global inventory position is balanced, and risks articulated with regards to future supply and demand positions (i.e. no material bulk wine write-offs, growth is supported)
  • Manage year end process and requests for information and liaison with External Auditors, including facilitating the annual reassessment of the Inventory Impairment provision
  • Ensure all key balance sheet reconciliations have been completed in line with predetermined timelines and are supported by valid, complete and accurate data.

•    Ability to work with minimal supervision, including managing competing deadlines 
•    Excellent report writing and presentation skills
•    Strong interpersonal skills, both verbal and written

•    Use data insights to make informed proposals 
•    Deliver outcomes when information is ambiguous (80/20 approach)
•    Well-developed computer skills, particularly PC based applications including MS Excel, Powerpoint & Word
 

What You’ll Bring

 

•    University degree in accounting or related discipline

•    Professional Accounting qualification

•    Minimum 5+ years’ experience in Financial/Management Accounting and/or Commercial Finance roles
