Orbital ATK is currently seeking an experienced Technical Ops Planner to provide support to our Process Engineering team at our Promontory plant.

Role description & Responsibilities:

The Tech Ops Planner performs a variety of engineering planning functions in support of operations or quality such as hardware traceability; configuration management; developing manufacturing plans; creating and maintaining electronic shop floor planning; determining processing and inspection operations. Assist in specifying tooling and equipment requirements and may initiate requests for design and fabrication of tooling. Prepares or directs the preparation or approval of planning documents defining operational sequence, process instructions, tooling, equipment and facilities to be used in production. Utilize applicable computer systems.

Experience Requirements:

• Associates degree with minimum of 2 years of related manufacturing experience

Experience Preferred:

• Knowledgeable of Promontory Manufacturing Operations a plus

Skills & Qualifications:

• Proficient use of Microsoft Office tools and database applications
• Must be disciplined to followed detailed instructions and comply with procedures
• Implementation of continuous improvement using 5S and Lean Manufacturing principles will be required
• Ability to read, interpret and implement technical drawings, specifications, and procedures
• Strong skills using ESI planning system or similar system
• Excellent written and oral communication skills to create clear and understandable planning for operators
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Detail oriented but able to understand the big picture

Education/Certifications

• Associates Degree, preferred
• Two-year certification or education post high-school

Position can be filled at a lower level depending on experiance
