Orbital ATK is currently seeking an experienced Sr. Subcontracts Admin to join our Subcontracts team in our Chandler, AZ office.

Role Description & Responsibilities:

The Sr. Subcontracts Admin manages complex and high dollar value subcontracts. Leads and conducts subcontract negotiations, self fact-find and definitize complex subcontracts with high dollar values. Maintains excellent documentation. Recommends and implements appropriate activities to resolve performance difficulties.

• Develop strategies, prepare and update standard operating procedures (SOPs), implement industry best practices, provides coaching and mentoring for Subcontracts Team, and manage complex/critical subcontracts.
• Issues Request for Proposals (RFPs), perform bid evaluations and fact-find, leads negotiations and definitize resultant awards.
• Requires a thorough understanding of FAR, DFAR and regulatory matters.
• Serves as a team member for continuous improvement projects, initiatives and events.
• Independently develops solutions to highly complex subcontracting problems.
• Interacts with all levels of the organization and external representatives at a higher level.
• Capable of operating with no supervision in a complex environment.
• Improves supplier and subcontractor performance and develop a competitive procurement process with long-term strategic partners.
• Assist with the identification, negotiation and upkeep of key commodity and subcontractor long term agreements (LTAs).
• Support vendor and subcontractor pre-qualification process and database.

Experience Requirements:

• Candidate must have a minimum of five years of related experience is required.
• U.S. Citizen

Skills & Qualifications:

• Knowledge of Word, Excel and Windows required.
• Excellent oral and written communication, organizational, people, and time management skills required.

Education/Certifications

• Bachelors Degree (BA/BS) in Business, Engineering, Finance is required or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
• Masters Degree (MS/MA/MBA) is preferred.
