Summary/Responsibilities:

Sr. Buyer is responsible for purchasing a variety of complex or technical parts, material and/or services. Evaluate bids, select approved supplier(s) and negotiate price, delivery, quality and service. Obtain Supplier PO Acknowledgements on all awards. Responsible for PO maintenance and delivery status until delivery and PO close out. Negotiate and settle with suppliers regarding damage claims, rejections, losses, return of materials, over-shipments, cancellations and engineering changes. Buyer typically administers relatively Medium dollar, high mix of requirements. Reports Directly to Purchasing Sr. Manager.

Qualifications:

A High School Diploma or General Education Degree and 4 or more years of related experience is required.
