Orbital ATK is currently looking for a Quality Engineer to work in our Clearfield, UT location.

Job description:

Support operations in high rate composite part production facility by executing essential Quality tasks and functions. Work closely with manufacturing personnel and engineering to solve production issues on highly automated processes using data based problem solving techniques. Learn and understand requirement to determine product impacts and execute disposition of the parts. Work in a cross functional team to develop and implement process improvements.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering or related technical arena and 4 years of experience.
• Good organizational skills and ability to work with minimal direction in a changing environment.
• Excellent computer skills. Skilled in working with Microsoft Office applications
• Demonstrated exceptional problem solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Adaptable and able to learn on the fly
• Enjoys challenges and variety of work content day to day

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Demonstrated Knowledge of root cause / corrective action processes and techniques
• Experience with Material Review Board activities (MRB)
• Functional knowledge of Process Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (PFMEA)
• Experience working with aerospace specifications and requirements preferred
• Composite fabrication experience preferred
• Understanding of Orbital ATK software toolbox including Solumina, ePIC, and TiipQA
• Experience using SPC to monitor and improve processes
• High rate production experience preferred
• Leadership experience a plus

Role can be filled at one level lower 12S with a Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering or related technical arena and 2 years of experience.
