About This Role: 
We are searching for a Materials Supervisor – 2nd Shift to join our team in Arden Hills, MN. The Materials Supervisor is responsible for managing dock and receiving activities at the site. They supervise the flow of component and finished products/goods while communicating any potential deviations to plan. The supervisor serves as main interface between Production Planning, Purchasing, Global Supply Chain Planners, etc. They ensure goals are achieved by empowering their team.

 

The core hours for this position will be 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM.
 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Oversee the process of receiving and storing materials in storeroom. Ensure best practices around inventory accuracy, 5S, and storage optimization.
  • Ensure team follows proper procedures to identify and remediate damaged materials upon receipt.
  • Manage order fulfillment process for multiple production lines using many systems including SAP.
  • Oversee inspection of raw materials using inspection plans set forth by BSC quality teams.
  • Maintains daily housekeeping adhering to FDA/DHHS and ISO guidelines.
  • Actively communicates and develops strategies with EH & S for elimination of potential job hazards and minimizing impacts affecting environmental health and safety.  Defines goals with EH & S to reduce significant impact regarding environmental, health, & safety issues.  Comprehends, communicates, and ensures compliance with EH & S procedures.
  • Must comply with requirements of ISO 14001 and BSC Environmental, Health and Safety standards and follow procedures and instructions related to these standards.
  • Maintains metrics to measure Quality issues, Lead Time, Transfers, Put away etc.
  • Establish and support a work environment of continuous improvement that supports BSC’s Quality Policy, Quality System, and the appropriate regulations for the area they support.  Ensure employees are trained to do their work and their training is documented.
     

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in a supply chain related position or similar business function 
  • Highly organized with the ability to multi-task while maintaining adequate documentation skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to travel ~10% domestically 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience in FDA regulated industry  
  • Proven history of Lean project support/leadership
  • Led/completed projects that drive improvements in Safety, Quality, Service, and Cost
  • Experience leading a team
  • SAP experience is a plus
  • Formal education / training in relevant area (supply chain, operations, etc.)
