About the Role:
Boston Scientific is seeking a Marketing Communications Specialist who brings a project management mindset to support execution of global integrated communication strategies for product, portfolio and disease campaigns within the Electrophysiology business of Boston Scientific. 
This individual will have well-developed skills in project management, communications, and follow-up and exude a take-charge spirit to proactively engage with the broader Marketing and Integrated Communications team. 
This individual will support a cross-functional team to execute communication and campaign strategies across multiple measurable channels, including digital, events, sales enablement, PR and traditional mediums, such as collateral and advertising. He or she will employ effective organized project management to communicate proactively to all stakeholders, to manage expectations, timelines, and logistics, and to deliver campaigns and content on time. He or she will collaborate closely with Marketing, Brand, Digital, Operations, Events, Internal Communications and external vendor partners to effectively and efficiently manage the legal and regulatory review and approval process. This person will comply with Boston Scientific standard operation procedures, processes and related systems, as well as direct digital warehousing, printing and storage of developed assets. 
This person must be extremely detail-oriented, comfortable juggling multiple changing priorities, committed to managing multiple stakeholders, and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Experience working with Regulatory and Legal in a highly regulated environment and familiarity with medical device, healthcare industries is preferred. This position is a hybrid role located in the Arden Hills Boston Scientific office.

 

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Positioning/Brand: Participate in global product positioning, messaging and core creative development working with marketing ensuring cross-functional collaboration; Ensure consistency in the Boston Scientific brand within specified channels
  • Relationship Building/Collaboration: Build relationships and collaborates closely with Marketing, Regulatory, Medical, Clinical and Legal colleagues 
  • Communication: Communicate proactively to all stakeholders, managing expectations, timelines and logistics
  • Campaign Execution/Project Management: Proactively lead the project management of global integrated communication strategies for product, portfolio, disease and patient campaigns within the Electrophysiology business of Boston Scientific. This includes but is not limited to: 
  • Contributing to the development of creative brief, creative team downloads, use of appropriate channels, messages and communication tactics
  • Supporting cross-functional teams (including Marketing, Brand, Digital, Operations, Events and Internal Communications colleagues, as well as with external vendor partners) to gain approval and deploy global campaign content and tactics on time 
  • Maintaining projects within allocated budget, proposing cost-saving measures where appropriate; produces communications materials and maintains project records utilizing established department procedure and tools; makes recommendations on how to continually improve processes and supporting systems
  • Uploading final files and consult to organize the creative asset management system on the digital asset management platform
  • Providing daily direction for marketing collateral warehousing and fulfillment per Quality System requirements and manage the literature lifecycle from origin through obsolescence
  • Supports development of project/tactic metrics reports for continuous improvement 
  • Industry Trends: Align with communications industry trends. Share best practices across BSC and consult as requested
  • Quality System Requirements: In all actions, demonstrate a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to the Quality Policy and all other documented quality processes and procedures; Including, but not limited to: 
  • Understanding and applying SOPs related to the marketing and communications functions
  • Managing approval of all content in compliance with standard operating procedures related to Regulatory and Legal approval of Marketing materials
  • Supporting audit-related activities and maintain documentation and controls

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or other relevant field preferred
  • 1-3 years B2B experience in project managing successful marketing communications campaigns or programs
  • Medical device experience and agency experience preferred 
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
  • Multiple examples of ability to manage multiple stakeholder, programs and changing priorities effectively in a team-based environment and collaboratively partner with internal/external stakeholders to drive projects to achieve business goals
  • Collateral/content development for use in multiple communications channels
  • Strong attention to detail, deadlines and budgets
  • Tech savvy- experience with “systems” beyond Microsoft office
  • Strong desire to continue to learn, develop and grow one’s career in healthcare communications
  • Soft skills: proven ability to influence without authority

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years B2B experience in project managing successful marketing communications campaigns or programs
  • Copywriting and editing experience.
