The Info Assurance Security Admin (ISSO) will be responsible for:

Assist with providing oversight, policy, and procedure development, and related functions in compliance with RMF (JSIG), DoD 5205.07, vol. 1-4, and NISPOM. As part of the Security Team, the position is responsible for day-to-day implementation and compliance in operating and maintaining security requirements both technical and administrative on classified systems.

Responsibilities

• Developing and maintaining A&A packages for classified information systems
• Preparing and analyzing test results for development into a POA&M
• Providing information security support and technical security guidance in all phases of the system life cycle within a MS Windows Network environment
• Perform antivirus updates, sw patch installation, and conduct security self-reviews
• Conduct weekly systems audits of both automated and manual audit logs
• Ensuring configuration management for security-relevant software, hardware, and firmware is maintained and documented
• Perform evaluation and obtain DAA authorization for new software, hardware and firmware before implementation on the system
• Work with ISSM to identify security vulnerabilities and providing guidance on mitigating risks
• Consulting with and initiating protective or corrective measures when a security incident of vulnerability is discovered
• Ensuring that system recovery processes are monitored to ensure that security features and procedures are properly restored
• Ensuring that all users have the requisite security clearances, authorization, and need-to-know, and are aware of their security responsibilities before being grante3d access to systems

Requirements

• HS Diploma required; Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
• Minimum 5 years of experience as an Information Systems Security Officer in a medium to large size company or equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
• Candidate must have in-depth knowledge of the NISPOM, JAFAN 6/3, RMF and JSIG
• Certification to an IAT Level I – II and IAM Level I – II under DoD 8570, or equivalent government manual, currently Security+) with CISSP preferred.
• Possess excellent interpersonal skills to include working with customers, employees, management, and security personnel.
• Excellent written communication, report writing, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work in high-paced environment by multi-tasking to accommodate deadlines.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Action oriented and driven to see projects through to completion.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Strong computer skills
• Ability to acquire Top Secret Clearance which requires US Citizenship as a pre-requisite; Active Top Secret clearance or Secret clearance with SAR eligibility strongly preferred.
• Must be 1st Tier eligible
• Position may be filled at a lower level
