Demand Planner

The Demand Planner will predict consumer demand to guide supply chain operations. This role will play a crucial role in the supply chain of the company. Using analytical, marketing, and sales data, this person will be able to estimate future product demands with the goal of improving cash flows, sales levels, and service. In achieving these goals, a demand planner will interact with collaborators in Sales, Marketing, Finance, Co-Packers, and Manufacturing Operations. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Build Collaborative Demand Plan (1 year horizon at the sku level) – Regularly interact with COP (Colgate Oral Care Pharmaceuticals) commercial team (Sales, Marketing & Finance) and Customers to gather sales plans & other demand inputs. Determine deviations vs. statistical demand plan, gain alignment, & document key assumptions.
  • Review Demand Plan – Prepare & participate in the Monthly process to develop an aligned demand plan. Gaps & opportunities are identified, quantified & addressed.
  • Synchronize Supply & Demand – Ensure alignment of final demand plan to supply plan. Identify and ensure communication of supply risks/opportunities/constraints, potential solutions, and impact on “unconstrained demand plan”.
  • Support New Product Planning & Life Cycle Planning – Work cross functionally to finalize pipeline volume & first 6 months of demand for new products. Track/measure actual shipments vs. detailed key assumptions. Collaborate with a cross functional team to manage & communicate SKU performance and life cycle changes.
  • Measure & Track Performance – Measure, report, and drive improvement of demand planning process & results.
  • Communicate & Manage Demand –  Monitor orders and shipments on a regular basis. Identify/Communicate significant changes. 
  • Key supply chain contact for Henry Schein. Will lead monthly supply chain review meetings as well as weekly communications.
  • Lead Change Mgmt Initiatives – Participate in change management initiatives involving Demand Planning. Responsible for communicating and implementing their initiatives in their functional area.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree Bachelors Degree in Business Administration; B.S. in Engineering, Finance, Logistics or equivalent experience. 
  • At least 5 years experience of Demand Planning in Consumer Goods or Manufacturing
  • SAP R/3 and APO-DP systems experience a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of Supply Chain

 

Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range $81,200.00 – $114,000.00 USD

Pay is based on multiple non-discriminatory, individualized factors including but not limited to experience, job-related knowledge and education, skills and office/market location. In addition to base salary, salaried employees are eligible for annual discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing and, for Executive-level (salary grade 16 and above) roles only, long-term incentives in the form of Restricted Stock Units and/or Stock Options.

Subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable benefits plans then in effect, all salaried employees are also eligible for a competitive benefits package which includes:

  • Retirement Plans: Employees are eligible to enroll in Colgate’s 401(k) plan, which provides for company matching contributions subject to eligibility requirements
  • Vacation/PTO: Employees receive a minimum of 15 days of vacation/PTO leave annually
  • Paid Holidays: Employees receive a minimum of 13 paid/floating holidays annually
  • Paid Sick Leave: Based on location and consistent with applicable state and local law, employees receive a minimum of 40 hours of paid sick leave on January 1st of each year
  • Paid Parental Leave: Eligible employees may take up to eight weeks of paid parental leave and 12 weeks of unpaid leave (varies for employees with fewer than 12 months of service and is subject to hours worked requirements)
