We are now recruiting for a Category Development Manager to join our Category & Insights team. You will be responsible for delivering our category vision in partnership with focus customers in your channel, building on our already strong category leadership position. 

You can be based in anywhere in England, as long as you are able to travel occasionally to either our Weybridge or Bristol offices, working from home the rest of the time.

This role is full-time and permanent.
 

Key responsibilities include:

•    Design and deliver category activation plans for designated customers on our focus categories across range, merchandising and promotions
•    Utilise the full suite of insight sources to identify the key drivers of category performance and highlight the risks and opportunities to our priority customers
•    Align with your Trade Marketing, Brand Marketing and Sales colleagues to ensure that they are aware of the category risks and opportunities to grow within our customer base
•    Work with your Brand, Insight and Sales colleagues to create compelling category selling stories
•    Develop critical category business questions with the customer to stimulate relevant research.

What you’ll bring:

•    Experience in FMCG category development roles, or account management experience within a data insights consultancy (such as Kantar or Nielsen)
•    Competency in Microsoft Office plus customer insights software such as Dunnhumby, Kantar Worldpanel Online, or Nielsen
•    Experience using planogram building software
•    A project management mindset with a knack for creating great reports, spreadsheets and presentations
•    Proactivity, excellent organisational skills and a passion for wine!
 

What you can expect:

A base salary starting at £40,000, as well as an annual wine allowance, on top of your salary!
