Orbital ATK is currently seeking an Associate Production Control Assistant to work in our Clearfield, UT location.

Role Description & Responsibilities:

The Associate Production Control Assistant is responsible for coordinating daily manufacturing related activities between Manufacturing, Purchasing, Quality and Engineering departments. This position is responsible to support the production control function maintaining schedules and material requirements and availability for the manufacture of products in the Freeport Composites Center.

Job Duties:

Successful candidate will perform the following responsibilities:

• Daily physical inventory of both Work In Progress and freezer
• Work with scheduling team to ensure correct demand of material is available
• Manage unplanned scrap in forming rooms to develop correct actions with the Integrated Product Teams
• Comply with all company safety rules and regulations
• Following directions, complete work assignments timely and accurately
• Validates actual completion data to required completion and assesses impacts
• Advises management of production status, and potential, problems to ensure labor, tools, equipment, and services are provided as needed
• Advises supervision and engineering concerning remedial action, part rework, or in-house stock fabrication to ensure that work progresses on schedule
• Determines how shortages will affect schedules
• Other duties and assignments as required

Education/Certifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent GED required (education will be verified)

Experience Requirements:

• Candidate must have a minimum of 0-2 years of manufacturing production control and scheduling experience in an aerospace or related industrial environment.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Knowledge of shop operations and procedures with emphasis on manufacturing scheduling and production control
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
• Excellent computer skills; Word, Excel
• Experience with Microsoft Access
• Must meet physical requirements of the position (standing for long periods of time, stooping, bending)
• Must be able to lift 35 lbs.
• Must be able to work flexible and changing shift schedules
