Role: Test Architect
Location: Central Park, Leopardstown, Co.Dublin

About the Role:
The Enterprise Enablement & Cloud Solutions team is responsible for the delivery of Platform & Technology Enablement, Quality Assurance, Framework & Standards Leadership and Enterprise Apps Management for AIB.
As a Test Architect, you will be working with an experienced cross-disciplinary team to develop, execute and maintain software to test AIB products. You should have solid in-depth knowledge of Quality Assurance, as well as strong knowledge of software engineering principles.
You will define automation strategies, as well as design & implement patterns & frameworks for functional and non-functional testing. You will also have the opportunity to propose improvements to existing test processes and procedures to improve quality and efficiency across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Driving testing strategies across Mobile, Web Testing, API & Performance Testing that cover tooling, test runtime environment and test reporting
- Designing, implementation and maintenance of test automation frameworks and tools
- Leading initiatives to improve the efficiency of existing test automation solutions
- Working closely with engineering, operations & business teams to design & implement test automation solutions
- Gathering & tracking meaningful metrics to measure the success & adoption of test automation in the organisation
- Maintaining up to date test documentation
- Providing technical leadership for QA engineers on test automation technologies, standards and patterns.
What you will bring:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science, engineering or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience developing software test automation
- Experience writing automated tests on a variety of platforms, browsers, and devices (E.g. Selenium WebDriver, JUnit, Appium)
- Experience creating, executing and debugging automated tests on a complex software stack.
- Highly proficient in Java
- Solid understanding of Object Oriented Programming principles
- Ability to communicate technical information in a clear and concise manner
- Ability to coordinate cross-team efforts
- Experience with agile development methodology
- Experience with developer tools like git, Maven and Eclipse/IntelliJ IDE
