The estimated base salary range for this role is $109,970 to $190,060 per year.
Individual pay is based upon location, skills and expertise, experience and other relevant factors (salary may be adjusted based on geographic location)

As our Technical Sales Manager, Energy Saving Ceilings – West Coast, your main area of coverage will include California, parts of Oregon, Washington, and Nevada. Other areas in western states will also be serviced, but much less frequently. You will meet sales objectives by driving business through a variety of channels. You will be responsible for working directly with energy influencers (ESCOs/EaaS) and other energy experts such as energy services project developers, project development engineers, and energy consultants. You will also work closely with Armstrong commercial go-to market teams. In this role you will be the ESC “Functional Expert”, This will include educating commercial team and serving as their infield, go-to specialist. The focus will be developing relationships with energy influencers, supporting the field sales organization, and driving sales through our Spec-Track-Close process.

What You’ll Do
- Achieving sales goals and growing the business by increasing market share and driving average unit price, sales, volume, and new products, and closing major projects
- Identifying key energy influencers in the western United States and cultivating win-win relationships.
- Serving as subject matter expert for commercial sales team and various customers.
- Owning or being a team member on a revolving active list of Top Opportunities in your geography.
- Identifying key projects early in design (pre-planning/schematics stages), owning & driving these projects from concept to order closure/final installation to insure a positive Total Customer Experience
- Integrating with the Commercial Area Sales Manager, local sales teams, Corporate Strategic accounts and MRO business in their designated areas to serve as functional expert on all projects where additional expertise is needed.
- Identifying new technologies and adjacent business that will help drive our energy savings ceiling business.
- Working closely with Project Engineers, Project Architects, Design Build Contractors, and ESCO/Eaas companies to educate the market on the value prop (ROI) od ESC.
- Focusing on winning at every stage of the project by leveraging design services within PROJECTWORKS and collaborating with Armstrong’s internal ESC team.
- Participate as a team member within respective regional teams; participates in ESC JFU meetings and assists with project priorities and establishing strategies/next steps
- Targeting the largest $ pipeline value strategic projects within their regional coverage area, such as transportation, higher education, & healthcare
- Using Salesforce (CRM) to capture project follow-up activities, next steps and maintains active pipeline.
- Collecting and sharing market and business insight on competitors, market trends, product opportunities and other strategic information that will drive business growth.
- Focusing on learning, applying and continuous improvement through individual & team education & specialized training to enhance their technical competencies.
What will make you successful
- Must exhibit the highest standards with regard to safe on-the-job conduct and business ethics.
- Must have the proven ability to develop an influential strategic relationships with key customers
- Prior experience creating reports and metrics to track results, prepare and deliver executive presentations with a head for detail on managing the flow of numbers necessary for managing a multi-million-dollar region.
- Skilled in SalesForce, Bluebeam, Adobe, PowerPoint, MS Office
- Proficiency with architectural renderings, drawings & bid documents
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree – Engineering Degree Preferred
- Experience in the Energy Service Company and/or Energy as a Service segment. Preferred
- 5+ years of experience in the energy services segment.
