Summary: As a Supply chain supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and safe operation of our distribution center. You will collaborate with other team members to prepare and move merchandise, maintain accurate documentation, and contribute to the overall success of our logistics operations. Your performance will directly impact our safety standards, cost efficiency, and customer service levels.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensures that all functions, duties, and procedures are carried out as instructed by the executive chef.
- Receives, unloads, moves, and loads merchandise, ensuring that FIFO (First In, First Out) principles are followed to minimize waste.
- Maintains and oversees the purchasing system, monthly inventory management, and maintain documents.
- Verifies the accuracy of item counts during receipt and reports any discrepancies or damages.
- Maintains proper storage conditions to prevent spills and spoilage, and rotates stock according to schedule.
- Maintains a safe and organized work environment, promptly reporting any unsafe or hazardous conditions.
- Manages inventory levels, plans future needs by adjusting par levels, and schedules deliveries.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
