Join us as a Senior Interface Engineer/ HSE and you’ll be looking at a
career-defining role based in Los Angeles, California.

As a Senior Interface Engineer/ HSE, you will be responsible for providing
technical and logistical support and coordinate activities for the LAWA LAMP
APM PPP Project, to ensure compliance with all Bombardier, Workplace Health
& Safety Act, Rail Safety Act, Environmental Protection Act and
underpinning legislation. Ensuring all associated activities are undertaken to
the specified schedule, design specifications and OHS requirements while
providing necessary support to LINXS DB’s electrical installation and other
subcontractors and scheduling activities regarding PDS and Substation work.

Responsibilities:


Act as the single point of contact for technical issues with LINXS DBJV involving PDS and Switchgear items, as well as other interface installation matters.


Ensure all Subsystem or Work Package (WP) deliveries, installation, testing and commissioning works within a pre-defined WP are executed in accordance with approved construction designs and program in accordance with Bombardier’s and industry working codes of practice and local requirements.


Act as a site point of contact from issuance of approved design drawings to final testing and commissioning of any given subsystems with regards to PDS Substations and Switchgear activities.


Perform necessary tasks for ensuring that all BT’s operations comply with applicable HSE and rail safety standards and regulations and local requirements.


Ensure compliance to LINXS DBJV on-site HSE requirements during installation and commission phases.


Liaison and interfacing with other project HSE Coordinators (LINXS DBJV, LINXS OMJV, LINXS Subcontractors, LAWA and city groups) as necessary to insure a zero LTA goal.


Safety ambassador for the BT site team.


Co-lead any site safety initiatives appropriate for the all work being performed.


Monitor and manage local environmental impacts of the project.


Identify and elevate any potential HSE issues.


Coordinate and facilitate all site HSE reporting requirements (internal and external).

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

– Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
– 8 years of experience working in engineering and power distribution systems (PDS).
– 5 years of experience working with OSHA and environmental standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

– Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
– Advanced proficiency with MS Office, Visio, AutoCAD, Adobe Acrobat, and SharePoint.
– Experience with transit system project interfaces related to electrical installation and signaling installation.
– Experience with transit industry standards.
– Previous leadership experience.
