The Senior Financial Analyst, IT supports the DBI Information Technology department and collaborates with partners throughout the department to improve projections, support strategic initiatives and improve overall financial oversight.


Reports To: Senior Manager, Corporate FP&A


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Consolidate and report on the DBI Technology financial planning process including the annual budget, targets, projection and modeling of the long-range plan.  Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
    • IT Project Resource Operating Expense and Capital Expense Projection and Budget
    • IT Repairs & Maintenance Projection and Budget
    • Other Expenses Projection and Budget
  • Support IT Business Projects through partnership with project managers and IT Leadership to identify capital and expense portions of each project and incorporate into Business Cases
  • Develop effective and collaborative relationships with functional business partners, identifying key opportunities, as well as communicating and influencing actionable analysis
  • Provide standard and ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as needed to support executive decision making and continued profitable growth of the business

  • Understand financial drivers in order to accurately reflect and analyze resource, repairs and maintenance and other controllable spend trends. Understand how a change in each impacts other areas of the business to accurately reflect the financial statements. Key skills to be successful are:

  • Excellent excel/financial modeling skill is required with at least a basic knowledge of PowerPoint and Word

  • Proven ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment




•     Minimum of 3-5 years’ work experience in a fast-paced environment (retail experience preferred)



•     Undergraduate (B.S./B.A.) degree in Finance or Accounting is required


Preferred Qualifications:

•     MBA is valued but not required

•     Knowledge of finance/GL packages; Lawson, Hyperion or similar is valued but not required
