R2R Accountant

Job Responsibilities: –

  • Manage day-to-day transactional activities
  • Ensure smooth month end closing activities – working to a tight deadline:
    • Fixed Assets Accounting
    • Project Accounting
    • Inventory/Cost Accounting
    • Intercompany Accounting
    • Cash Management reconciliation (i.e. bank reconciliation)
    • GL Accounting
    • Hyperion reporting and preparation of validation reports
    • Reviewing trial balance, month end reports and providing analytical review to market
  • Ensure timely preparation of balance sheet reconciliation and quality of supporting schedules, based on high, medium or low risk accounts.
  • Ensure timely preparation of internal financial reporting and US GAAP reports such as annual audit package
  • Ensure timely preparation of external reporting such as statistical reporting, VAT and WHT reporting 
  • Support internal and external audit matters by ensuring timely submission of required financial supporting documents and information to auditors
  • Cleaning up of aged items and work with interdepartmental when issues arise
  • Investigate and resolve issues found in the normal course of work, and provide timely root cause analysis
  • Maintain a strong financial control environment and ensure timely escalation and remediation of any control deficiencies identified.
  • Ensure service level agreements (SLA) and monthly performance and productivity KPIs are met
  • Ensure desktop procedures is updated timely with changes in process (if any)
  • Providing support to other team members
  • Support in team/company projects or initiatives
  • Involvement in ad-hoc RTR or company activities

Job Requirement: –

  • Candidate must possess at least Degree in Accounting / Finance
  • Professional Accounting Certification (ACCA / CPA / CIMA / MIA / ICAEW) is an added advantage
  • Minimum 2 to 5 years related experience
  • Good understanding of accounting principles, standards, financial statements, reconciliation and reports
  • Proven ability to work as member of multi-functional teams
  • Experienced in dealing with key stakeholders
  • Knowledge of ERP system is compulsory, experience with Oracle/Blackline/Hyperion is an added advantage
  • Good knowledge in Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Proficiency in English with good communication and writing skills
