Job Summary

This opportunity is open to current PSEG employees only.

Responsible for identifying new products and services that present opportunities for PSE&G’s Gas Operations business to maximize its overall business operations — including maintaining and growing its competitive services business while ensuring compliance with affiliate standards and fair competition regulation including regulatory financial reporting.  Conduct business and trend analyses.  Develop the product and service offering, which includes: the work management policies, terms and conditions; the design, coordination and implementation of IT system enhancements; the guidelines and pricing for the new offerings, etc. Develop and execute the launch plan which includes preparing any regulatory filings and requests for proposals for outsourced services.  Work with internal organizations as well as outside contractors and manufacturers to ensure a successful launch; work with internal organizations to ensure IT system enhancements and functionalities are in place to optimize new and existing products and services. May take on other duties such as serving as the Gas Operations IT interface, audit preparation and other program support and special assignments.  Candidate must foster an inclusive work environment and respect all aspects of diversity. Job Responsibilities
  • For assigned product / service offering, conduct regular and on-going market and financial analyses; offer suggestions on process improvements   
  • Work to identify new products and services that present opportunities for Gas Operations
  • For new and on-going products /service offerings, develop and refine work management policies, terms and conditions, IT enhancements, etc aimed at growing the business while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations
  • Other duties as assigned
Job Specific Qualifications
  • BS/BA in management, finance, marketing, business OR equivalent work experience in lieu of degree
  • 7 yrs relevant work exp
  • Minimum of 5 years in work management and operations in a customer service business or utility operations environment
  • Strong and proven systematic problem-solving and decision-making ability
  • Proven process improvement methods and practices coupled with well-organized and systematic approaches to implementation
  • Broad general management and technical skills with experience in leadership, process management, contract management, business planning and budgeting, change management, marketing, financial analysis and work planning
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills; strong written and oral communication skills
  • Proven strategic planning and leadership skills
  • Strong and proven analytical skills, systematic problem-solving and decision-making ability
  • Experience with quality process improvement methodologies and strong financial acumen, i.e. preparing business cases and pro forma income statements
  • Systems/applications experience such as DWIMS, SAP, Excel, Access, PowerPoint
  • Must have a valid drivers' license
