  • Conduct Project Identification meetings with Marketing/Senior Management to define project scope and provide a written description
  • Plan/implement an engineering program using the Project Management System as guide to achieve the objectives of the project.  Liaison with all departmental contacts as required to gain input when needed, and effectively communicate the status of project activity routinely through scheduled project reviews/reports
  • Provide detailed test guidance to assigned lab and CAD personnel in the conductance and documentation of product test standards; evaluate data and make recommendations
  • Review product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, and customer contract requirements
  • Coordinate activities to resolve technical developments, rescheduling issues, and engineering design and test problems as they arise
  • Evaluate/approve design changes, specifications, drawing releases
  • Interact with other Engineering Staff to provide input regarding areas of individual expertise
  • Prepare project expense estimates and control expenditures within the limitations of the budget
  • Liaison between Lochinvar and test agencies
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a similar field required; Master’s degree preferred
  • 5+ years of related work experience
  • Familiarity with ISO 9000 design requirements, experience with AutoCAD or similar mechanical CAD drafting package, and ERP software (SAP or similar)
  • Excellent communications and organizational skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills for reviewing costs and preparing budget reports.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of control design and development including experience with PID control schemes.  Ability to conceptualize and formulate design solutions with limited information.
  • Responsible for controls systems testing, troubleshooting, repairs, and start-up assistance.
  • Knowledge of electrical components, RS485 and TCP/IP communication protocols.
  • Knowledge of heat transfer and fluid mechanics.
  • Assist in the creation of data and documentation of major milestone review presentations to executive management team.
  • Create and/or assist with documentation such as user manuals, control specifications, programming diagrams, electrical diagrams and drawings.
