CPS Energy a Mgr Web Development to lead and develop the Enterprise Information Technology – Enterprise Application Delivery (EIT-EAD) web development team.

Provide leadership to and develop the Enterprise Information Technology – Enterprise Application Delivery (EIT-EAD) web development team. Responsible for the design, implementation, testing, delivery and support of our websites and anchored portals. Be a go-to subject matter expert on the technology systems, integrations, processes and operations required to support CPS Energy website and customer facing portals, have passion for all aspects of web development including performance, security, usability and maintainability. Partner with business unit stakeholders to develop and execute on web and portal support strategies aligned with organizational objectives. Provide the day to day management of the web development staff including training, productivity and performance management. Be an advocate of web development best practices.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Lead a team of developers — manage resources, assignments and tasks across the team
- Drive platform technology direction
- Hands-on experience with front-end and back-end development
- Translate complex business and customer requirements into technical deliverables
- Ensure uptime and availability of enterprise websites and customer facing portals
- Understand existing systems and resolve operations support issues
- Follow and improve web development standards
- Coordinate with Project Managers in the EIT PDO group on project planning and scoping.
- Collaborate with SAP application development team
Minimum Knowledge and Abilities
A minimum of seven (7) years of experience with web development frameworks and tools
Experience with Cross-browser compatibility, Web User Interface design (UI) that enhances User Experience (UX), Security Principles, Object-Oriented Design and Web Services (REST/SOAP).
Working experience with multi-tier application architecture and design
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work in a team-environment
Ability to work under pressure and take ownership of issues
- Previous IT management experience preferred, but not required.

Bachelor’s Degree or Foreign Degree equivalent in Information Systems, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related field
