The Role
As a Lumen Manager Business Intelligence, your primary responsibility will be to collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to develop sustainable reporting solutions to support data-driven decisions. You will lead a team to architect, build, and support a common data and analytics platform integrating new and existing data sources.
The Main Responsibilities
- Closely align with business stakeholders and internal IT resources to drive reporting solutions.
- Define and implement operational best practices and standards, driving operational efficiency and consistency in production reporting.
- Provide technical hands-on leadership to design and support an analytics data platform (including ETL, data modelling and warehousing).
- Lead and coach technical teams of professionals to deliver actionable data insights for management and operational reporting.
- Effectively communicate across all layers of the organization
- Build and develop Business Intelligence (BI) team into high performance team focused on performance and career development

- Expertise in BI reporting, ETL and database management platforms including Tableau, Power BI and SQL Server
- Expertise in building, maintaining, and optimizing data models and BI visualization
- Resolve complex incidents, monitor solutions, and establish standards, procedures and guidelines; includes supporting and maintaining existing reports and BI solutions
- Maintain and drive partnerships with key IT partners in support of data warehousing initiatives
- Lead projects, including developing technical requirements, defining scope, creating design documents, project management, implementation, and test approach/test planning.
- Ability to multi-task various projects and tasks with tight deliverables while keeping informed of existing and evolving development best practice, industry standards and technologies.
What We Look For in a Candidate
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information technology, management systems or related discipline
- Minimum of 4 years of progressively responsible experience in a directly related area, during which both professional and management capabilities have been clearly demonstrated is required. Previous experience leading technical teams is required.
- In-depth understanding of database management systems, online analytical processing (OLAP) and ETL(Extract, transform, load) framework.
- 5+ years’ experience with the Microsoft BI Stack (T-SQL, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS) to deliver advanced BI and Data solutions.
- 5 + years MS-SQL/TSQL writing stored procedures and database schema design
- Project management experience.
- Strong ability to translate business requirements into technical terms.
- Possess the ability to identify, analyze, and resolve problems logically and systematically
Preferred
- Experience in Master Data Management techniques and business driven Data Governance practices
- Application development knowledge of C#, JavaScript, AJAX, CCS, MVC, HTML, XML, JQuery, Angular,Bootstrap
- Experience in multidimensional data modeling
- Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate across organizational boundaries
- Experience in designing and delivering a security model
- Experience with Agile methodologies
- Exceptional attention to detail and drive to delivery
- Knowledge of cloud computing platforms
Compensation
The starting salary for this role differs based on the employee’s primary work location. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on each individual’s qualifications.
Location Based Pay Ranges
$94420 – $125890 in these states: AR, ID, KY, LA, ME, MS, NE, SC, and SD.
$99390 – $132510 in these states: AZ, AL, FL, GA, IN, IA, KS, MO, MT, NM, ND, OH, OK, PA, TN, UT, VT, WV, WI, and WY.
$104360 – $139140 in these states: CO, HI, MI, MN, NV, NH, NC, OR, and RI.
$109330 – $145770 in these states: AK, CA, CT, DE, DC, IL, MD, MA, NJ, NY, TX, VA, and WA.
As with the pay range variety that’s based on the region of a country, specific offers are determined by various factors such as experience, education, skills, certifications and other business needs.
