Job Description

Maintenance Planner / Maintenance Scheduler

 

The Maintenance planner / Maintenance Scheduler is responsible for work planning, and Coordination of all work orders, using the Computer Maintenance Management Software program (CMMS). This position is also responsible for training new CMMS users; maintaining parts/data accuracy and equipment hierarchy in the CMMS; and, rolling out standard workflows for work requests, preventive maintenance program, project request, inspection, etc.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Planner

A Maintenance Planner  makes the plan with proper consideration to what needs to be done and the timeliness,  is responsible for making sure maintenance technicians have the Tools and Parts they need to complete work orders in a structured and planned approach . … planning the work for the maintenance crew and making sure the inventory is there to perform quality work; the right work at the right time in the CMMS system

  • Serve as administrator for work order management system (Computerized Maintenance Management System – CMMS).
  • Ensure that Work Orders are properly generated, planned and closed in relation to preventive maintenance and plant inspections.
  • Responsible for training new associates in the process of CMMS, and will be the front line person for all requests coming from our internal customers
  • Schedules PM’s for up to 15 employees on a daily basis based on priority and severity
  • Will oversee contractors to ensure the work is completed on time

 

Scheduler

A Maintenance Scheduler executes and properly schedules the work around Operations ……..is responsible to take a maintenance plan and bring together all the resources needed to complete it. Aligning internal trades and the external support contractors. The Scheduling role involves assembling and coordinating the information, people, materials, equipment, along with all the other necessary resources to get the job done right the first time.

  • Monitor prep and parts for  work order and projects
  • Perform other duties as directed by the Reginal Maintenance Manager
  • Assists with tracking repair progress of storeroom repair/return items. Maintains updated tracking document on high value capital items in rebuild
  • Inventory and part usage tracking.
     
     

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of related experience and or mechanical knowledge preferred
  • 2+ years’ experience using Microsoft Office
  • 2+ years’ experience planning, scheduling and auditing
  • 2+ years’ work experience working with asset management software
  • Able to assess and prioritize work orders and manage accordingly
  • High attention to detail required
  • Data-driven, analytical thinking and decision-making skills
  • Knowledge of Preventive and Predictive maintenance processes a strong knowledge of warehousing/manufacturing maintenance material inventory, project estimating and scheduling, CMMS experience
