Who We Are Looking For  

The AGCO Acceleration Center is looking for a highly talented Engineering Intern to join our team at the Research Park at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign for Fall 2023 & beyond. This role is a great opportunity to work with AGCO Grain & Protein and learn about our products. This internship will be critical to the efficiency of our storage engineering team. They are currently pulled in many different directions to address customer requests for custom products, and the implementation of an updated Matlab/Configuration combination should allow more accurate and quicker feedback to our customers. This position can be remote, and will work with AGCO team members in Assumption, IL, Omaha, NE, and Duluth, GA to complete the updates. 

What You Will Do  

• Write/update Matlab code  

• Rewrite some areas of an existing Matlab webservice interfaced with Configurator  

• Update a Matlab dll to capture product changes 

• Finish a Matlab program that will interface with Configurator to allow for inside sales and dealers, as well as Storage Engineering, to input the information required previously from Storage Engineering to make a standard quote request 

• Learn about grain storage products and the Configurator system  

What You Will Bring  

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field 

• Ability to understand, read, and write within Matlab 

• Eagerness to learn about grain storage products and Configurator 

• Proficiency in written and oral communication in English 

A Plus If You Have  

• Good communication skills 

• Experience with agriculture 

Additional Details: 

• This is a paid, part-time internship for Fall 2023. Students are required to work 15-20 hours a week
