About the role:

 

Identify and pursue value improvement and waste elimination to support manufacturing and overhead areas through the initiation and completion of Lean projects in line with business goals and objectives.

 

You’re Responsibilities include:

 

 

  • Identify and lead value improvement, waste elimination and problem solution projects that drive plant and company performance improvements.
  • Drive facility layout and design projects with the Process Development Engineering, Production, Facilities and Manufacturing Engineering teams (as directed by site).
  • Coordinate and initiate lean projects (i.e. Lean Production, Lean Support and Born Lean) with the Production, Process Development, Manufacturing Engineering, and support functions.
  • Perform general engineering tasks, which may include:  updating standards, maintaining BOMS and routers and creating and approving change requests (as directed by site).
  • Develop and conduct lean training programs for employees at all levels and departments.
  • Create and maintain a Lean toolkit that can include:  5S, Kaizen, quick change over, value stream mapping, mistake proofing and line balancing.
  • Work cross-functionally with other departments to accomplish tasks, etc.
  • Participate in inter-site initiatives.
  • May provide work direction or mentor intern or co-op members of the Industrial Engineering team.

 

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related files.
  • 2+ years of experience in process improvement methodologies, Kaizen activities/participation, Lean Tools, mix model capacity analysis.
  • Experience in delivering training (Kaizen model, Lean Tools and Process Improvement)
  • Single and mix line balance and capacity analysis.
  • Intermediate English level

 

 

Preferred qualifications:

 

  • Green Belt, AutoCad, Power Bi.
  • Participate in annual projects budget and standard time improvements.
