Description of Position:

The incumbent in this position is responsible for practicing and maintaining current Good Manufacturing Practices as outlined in 21 CFR 211. The incumbent shall obtain and maintain yearly certification of current Good Manufacturing Practices training.  The incumbent engaged in the repacking process of a pharmaceutical drug and batch and record shall have the education, training and experience or any combination thereof, to enable the incumbent to perform the assigned functions. Renewal of Florida Pharmacy Technician Registration license every 2 years is required.

 

The incumbent is responsible for the repackaging of bulk pharmaceuticals received into the Bureau of Public Health Pharmacy (BPHP) Repack section using repacking equipment including, but not limited to MTS 400, MTS 500, and Auto-bond. Incumbent is responsible for properly assembling, storing, and maintaining all repackaging equipment and pharmaceutical batch record. Incumbent will ensure that all equipment, utensils, cleanroom, and work area are properly cleaned after each use and is maintained clean at all times. It is a requirement of the incumbent to review, analyze and complete the electronic batch and control record for each pharmaceutical.

 

Incumbent is responsible for inventory management, filling of patient-specific medications, prepacking, and processing returned medications from County Health Departments in the Mail Order Pharmacy and/or Issuance.

 

The incumbent is responsible for preparing the medications to be repackaged.

 

Retrieves the repackaged medications when released from the automated machines and prepares for quality control station. 

 

The incumbent is responsible for document management in regard to filing, retention, and assuring a comprehensive audit trail.

 

The incumbent in this position is responsible for consumable inventory management and replenishment at workstations.

Ability to follow deadlines, good analytical skills, ability to work in team and coordinate among co-workers.

The incumbent shall obtain and maintain yearly certification of Good Manufacturing Practices Training.
