Flagstone Wines is an award-winning cellar that has achieved Top 10 Pinotage, Top 10 Sauvignon Blanc and Top 12 Shiraz awards, to name a few. Situated in the Old Dynamite Factory in Paardevlei, Somerset West, we are focused on producing premium wines.
We are now recruiting for 3 Harvest Casual (Days) to join our team in Somerset West. You will be responsible for various activities related to the production of premium wine and the daily management of hygiene of the Flagstone site.
 
This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week.  The contract will start on 15th January 2024 and end on 20th April 2024.  

Please note, this role will include working weekends as required, and overtime will be offered.  

Key responsibilities include:

•    Additions to crush and fermentations
•    Barrel work
•    Pressings
•    Balling measurements & Samples
•    Punchdowns & Pumpovers
•    Cleaning of various winery Equipment
•    Sorting on Sorting Line

What you’ll bring:

•    Effectively communicate with the Cellar Master/Winemaker, Assistant Winemaker, Head Cellar Hand and co-workers in either English or Afrikaans.
•    Operate machinery safely and effectively.
•    Conduct physical work that includes pumpovers, punch downs, barrel work and cleaning of equipment.
