Description:

 

The Division of Community Health Promotion, Florida Department of Health is seeking a qualified candidate for a Government Operations Consultant II position to provide support to the Office of the Director. This position works under the general supervision of the Division Director in the Community Health Promotion.

 

Position specific responsibilities include:

 

  • General office support tasks for the Director’s Office.
     
  • Creating, modifying, and processing general and special correspondence
     
  • Assisting staff members with organizing meetings, trainings, and workshops. Securing meeting rooms and taking meeting minutes.
     
  • Copying and collating informational and organizational packets, manuals, and reports.
     
  • Responding to phone inquiries pertinent to the Director’s Office.
     
  • Processing in/out mailings and fax for the Director’s Office.
     
  • Assisting staff members with travel arrangements, including submitting travel requests, reserving hotel rooms and rental cars, booking airline tickets, and submitting documents for reimbursements.
     
  • Managing information and documents according to agency and Division policy.
     
  • Assisting staff members with the preparation and distribution of packets, manuals, and reports and ensures materials are distributed and tasks completed in a timely manner.
     
  • Assisting staff members with purchasing requests in MFMP and clearing P-card charges in FLAIR.
     
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

 

The successful candidate will have knowledge of the State’s procedures for processing travel, purchasing card charges, and requisitions. Ability to prioritize and organize work assignments; ability to work independently; and knowledge of Microsoft Office Software.
