About the role:

 

The Global Process Owner (GPO), Vendor Master position is a key Strategic Leadership role to advance Boston Scientific’s Source to Pay vision to achieve 3 key outcomes: optimal stakeholder experiences, operational excellence, and value creation.  The GPO will partner with the other Source to Pay GPO’s spanning the end-to-end Source to Pay process and is responsible for the effectiveness and efficiency of the process globally.  The GPO’s partners closely with Global Operations Team (Sourcing, GBS Service Delivery, Quality, Legal, Global Compliance, Global IT, Finance, Tax), suppliers and 8K+ shoppers across functional, geographic and business unit boundaries to achieve and inform our transformation roadmap.

The primary technologies include SAP ECC and S4/Hana, SAP Ariba, SuccessFactors, MDG (Master Data Governance), Sirion, VIM (Vendor Invoice Management), Tableau, Power BI.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Owning the Vendor Master process and in partnership with the GPO’s the end-to-end Indirect Source to Pay process.  This includes: Master Data Governance; Supplier: On-boarding, Setup, Maintenance; Supply base decision; Strategy for suppliers who are both indirect and indirect; and Supplier Management: Scorecards, Risk Mgmt, Performance Mgmt
  • Driving the Indirect StP end-to-end process strategic vision, roadmap, and design while fulfilling customer requirements
  • Advocate to transform the Indirect StP process and technologies using benchmarks and best-in-class practices
  • Driving process efficiency and effectiveness while aligning process & technology standards globally
  • Aligning and influencing the organization to support the process
  • Liaising with stakeholders to listen, understand, and influence; ensure they are involved and service level agreements are aligned
  • Educating and sustaining the global operations team
  • Ensure the end-to-end process is well understood, transparent, adhering to all polices and procedures
  • Advise, promote and enforce governance pertaining to relevant master data
  • Recommend and influence, and as needed lead/implement, change management strategies to achieve leadership sponsorship and customer adoption. 
  • Projects: Prioritize, decide/co-decide project team & governance, approve requirements, perform roles per the project plan which can include being the project lead to lead and deliver the project
  • Process and Technical Improvements: Approve, prioritize, triage to assess strategy to deliver (e.g. just do it, project, etc)
  • Promote a culture of end-to-end process excellence, service excellence and continuous value improvement

 

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, Masters Preferred
  • 5+ years progressive global ownership and/or Vendor Master management experience with proven success in large multi-national company
  • 5+ years using ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), Vendor Master, and analytics technologies.  Preferred: SAP/SAP Products, SAP Ariba, MDG, Tableau, Power BI
  • Strategic thinking and the ability to set and manage a strategic agenda in a global company
  • Strong leadership and the ability to gain organizational alignment in a global company
  • Expertise in and experience delivering value propositions using continuous improvement and Lean methodologies
  • Global, end-to-end process mindset and approach
  • Knowledge of global service delivery operations
  • Thought leadership in the Indirect Source to Contract Process and the End-to-End Indirect Source to Pay Process in a large multi-national company
  • Proven experience with project management, product management, and system implementation methodologies. 
  • 5+ years leading projects or products or implementing systems. 

Preferred qualifications:

  • Agile execution experience.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
