Field Inventory Analyst II
 

About the Role:
 

At Boston Scientific, the Field Inventory Analyst II will support the field inventory team by providing a comprehensive review of the franchise and managing the field inventory master data to ensure accuracy across financial systems. Responsibilities include conducting quantitative business analysis, performing cause-and-effect analysis to develop actionable solutions, and managing consignment inventory. The role requires close collaboration with key business partners, field sales organizations, and sales leadership.

Your Responsibilities Include:
 

  • Non-Rev Forecasting: Develop and manage forecasts for non-revenue generating activities within the US Interventional Cardiology, Watchman, and Structural Heart franchises.
  • Annual Operating Plan Support: Provide inventory trend analysis and investment projections, including field inventory scrap as a percent of revenue.
  • Launch Planning & Strategy: Collaborate cross functionally to create consignment strategies for new products and predict the impact on legacy investments (End-of-Life). Track performance, identify trends, and adjust plans to achieve business and inventory objectives.
  • Field Inventory Monitoring: Identify opportunities within field inventory, develop initiatives to address them, and communicate with cross-functional leadership to gain support.
  • Leadership Performance Reviews: Support field inventory content creation
  • Continuous Improvement: Seek opportunities for improvement in areas such as working capital, cost avoidance, and direct labor. Lead projects to manage value improvement initiatives.
  • Product Ownership: Create and maintain reports and tools to support the field inventory team and key business partners. Emphasize automation and accuracy to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Cycle Counts: Support the annual cycle count process through data preparation, validation, and reporting, culminating in a debrief with finance leadership.
  • Cross-Functional Projects: Support cross-functional projects as the field inventory expert.

What We’re Looking For:
 

Required Qualifications:
 

  • 2-4 years of related experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Expert in Excel modeling), Salesforce, Tableau, and Power BI
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Detail-oriented and organized.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize.
  • Ability to voice unpopular opinions when necessary.
  • Passion for continuous improvement

  • Inventory or medical device background.
