BWX Technologies, Inc. Nuclear Operations Group in Lynchburg, VA (BWXT NOG-L) is currently accepting applications for the summer of 2020 Internship/Co-Op program.
BWXT is seeking Engineering Interns & Co-Ops with the responsibility for providing engineering support including:
- Developing and delivering unique engineering solutions used in a nuclear environment
- Creating/Updating drawings and procedures, design, testing, analysis, project management and procurement of materials as needed.
Must be a currently enrolled student in a ABET Accredited Bachelor’s degree program pursuing a degree in Materials Science. This position with BWXT requires applicants to obtain and maintain a government adjudicated clearance. Elements of this clearance include a background investigation under the cognizance of both BWXT and the U. S. government. Background investigations include but are not limited to reviews of criminal activity, financial credit standing, previous employment records, personal references, and foreign national association. In addition submission to BWXT and government defined drug testing criteria is required and includes an initial drug test with results reported in the required BWXT background investigation.
Applicants selected will be subject to a Federal background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified matter. Your employment is contingent upon your ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Security Clearance which requires an extensive investigation conducted and adjudicated under the cognizance of the US DOE
