Job Summary

Leads the design, development and validation of risk and pricing strategies and advanced statistical models used in one or more practices and/or areas across the Company, such as underwriting, collections, loss mitigation, credit pricing, marketing, customer relationship management (CRM) analytics, and/or strategic portfolio risk. Coordinate with key leadership to integrate models into existing strategies and work with operational and risk partners to identify future opportunities. May lead a team of professionals in the areas of artificial intelligence and advanced analytics.

Job Responsibilities

Leads the creation and maintenance of forecasting models with various strategy teams across the enterprise, to identify opportunities to maximize revenues and minimize losses. Evaluates economic trends and incorporates those trends into forecasting models as appropriate. Defines the data requirements for capturing model characteristics across multiple environments.

Leads the design, development and validation of custom application, custom behavior and key business scorecards. Supports implementation and maintenance of scorecards across the business. Recommends new scorecards, technologies, and utilization. Provides independent scorecard validation and monitoring of scorecard effectiveness on a scheduled basis.

Continually looks for opportunities to expand organizational knowledge, leading the discovery and evaluation of new technologies and data sources.

Capability to expand responsibility to other areas such as Pricing, Marketing, Protection Products, Bike Value Modeling, Commercial or Dealer Network evaluation.

Education Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
Education Specifications

Bachelor’s Degree in quantitative discipline such as Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Finance or related area Required. MBA Preferred.

Experience Requirements

Required

Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience

Credit/Risk/Modeling experience in financial services industry required

Proven ability to perform complex statistical analysis and distill complex analytics to readily understandable business recommendations

Excellent judgment, analytic skills and ability to identify all relevant issues and risks

Strong database and/or statistical SAS programming knowledge; experience with artificial intelligence is a plus

Demonstrated ability to take the initiative and achieve results in a fast-paced and changing environment

Preferred

Strong verbal and written communication skills; the ability to achieve positive outcomes through influence

Leads and/or works well in a team environment

Ability to interact effectively with all levels of staff
