The Data Steward role in the Proactive Customer Services team is responsible for supporting data quality processes, escalating data issues, and recommending and executing controls to enhance data quality. The Data Steward will ensure data quality and data enablement processes are followed-up in the Proactive Customer Services team which leverage machine, customer and technical data sources to improve business processes in the AGCO Aftersales team and manages the Machine Monitoring Center.
The Data Steward has 3 keys responsibilities: 1) data evaluation and cataloging of data quality issues and opportunities; 2) assisting the data users (analysts and scientists) by evaluating and testing the feasibility of data use cases; and 3) understanding and curating data sources.
Your Impact:
• Manage and maintain all data governance-related documentation such as data dictionaries, definitions, business rules, security, and process maps for the Proactive Customer Services team
• Conduct data monitoring and reviews logs on data enablement processes
• Proactively identify improvement opportunities and manage data quality logs for machine, telematics and customer support data sources
• Write, review and present recommendations to enhance data quality improvements
• Coordinate root cause analysis and resolution with data analyst and data science team members
• Support the Data Governance strategies and procedures
• Create and maintain detailed documentation outlining key business and data rules/processes
• Ensure data quality communications with internal and external partners regarding data quality
• Address data privacy requests
• Prepare and enable data improvement requests within staged data environments
Your Skills:
• Associates/Bachelor’s Degree in Computer/Management Information Systems, Information Management, Statistics, or related field; and/or relevant coding certifications
• 3-5 years of experience in Business data and analytics, Data Governance and Stewardship, and/or any of the subject areas in which technical data is used
• General understanding of data and analytics such as data science and engineering techniques, visualization trends, data governance, and regulations.
• Proficiency with then Microsoft Office suite of tools
• Ability to work effectively with a virtual and remote global team
• Demonstrated understanding of database methodologies and technologies
• Competencies: SQL experience
• Demonstrated organizational and process management skills
