What is the Role:

 

Reporting into the manager for Cyber Threat Management, the Security Analyst will provide expert advice to  the wider AIB teams to protect AIBs networks, systems, applications, information and reputation in real-time through cyber threat research, monitoring and operational response capabilities for active threat prediction and detection, deriving intelligence from industry sources as well as data from across AIB’s infrastructure.

 

Key accountabilities;

  1. Generating actionable threat intelligence and situational awareness of cyber threats. This involves responsibility for defining, developing, and implementing techniques to discover and track threat actors and identify future attacks. Producing actionable threat intelligence on targeted and advanced persistent threats.
  2. Applying analytical understanding of attacker tactics, system vulnerabilities, and attack indicators to produce metrics and reporting on the state of system security, threat, and alerts.
  3. Identifying cyberspace trends related to adversary techniques, targeting, and malware.
  4. Designing and delivering actionable Information Security dashboards and scorecards and will analyse data sources and recommend optimal data sources to provide relevant reporting.
  5. Responding to security alerts and incidents, pinpointing root causes and providing solutions.   Following these security alerts and incidents they will be responsible for analysing security alerts and engage with technology partners and business units in order to resolve identified issues within SLAs and adhering to defined workflows and processes for incident response and mitigation.
  6. Analysing malware using various tools to understand its functionality. Identify and resolve any false positive findings in assessment reports.
  7. Creating and maintaining documentation, ensuring process and procedures are relevant and maintained.

 

 

Minimum Criteria;

 

  1. A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science / IT Security or has relevant industry experience.
  2. 3 years of experience in incident response within the Cyber Security field.
  3. Demonstrate excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  4. Familiarity with security threat monitoring tools
  5. In-depth knowledge of Cyber Crime and IT Security-related issues, including legal aspects such as data privacy.

 

The following certifications are desirable though not essential:

•           Masters in Computer Science/Information Security

•           SANS GCTI / GCIH

•           CISSP, SSCP

•           CEH, OSCP/OSCE
