Configuration Management Specialist 1 — BWX Technologies, Inc (Nuclear Fuel Services) — Erwin, TN
Summary of job duties:
The Configuration Management Specialist 1 assembles minor and major change packages and verifies data validity. Responsibilities include tracking and maintaining the data associated with Enterprise Change Requests (ECR) and Enterprise Change Notices (ECN) within the electronic workflow system.
Major job duties and responsibilities:
- Review change requests, identify affected documentation and/or physical items and assemble associated change packages. Prepare associated Engineering Change Notices (ECNs).
- Coordinate disposition of information associated with closure of completed ECNs. Verify continuity of superseded and superseding information associated with ECN completion and implementation.
- Assure that documents are validated and verified by document owners prior to release and distribution after ECN completion. Update document attribute information to reflect current status after ECN completion.
- Maintain metrics for the CM Program. Identify and track deficiencies in ECR/ECN documentation.
- Assist users in entering and maintaining component, equipment, document and physical item data in an electronic workflow system.
Education Requirements:
- B. S. — Technical preferred or In lieu of a degree, eight (8) years’ experience of plant operations, document preparation and control, and maintenance.
Experience Requirements beyond educational or equivalent experience in lieu of degree:
- Three – five years’ experience in engineering and/or plant operations preferred.
Pay: $63,000 – $99,000
The base salary range for this position in Tennessee (US-TN) at the start of employment is expected to be between $63,000 and $99,000 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors, and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, the selected job candidate will be employed ‘at-will,’ unless employed at a location and in a position subject to a collective bargaining agreement. The company further reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment, compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and other market factors.
