Commercial Project Manager
Location: Marlborough, Massachusetts
Work Mode : Hybrid, 3 days onsite
About the role:
The Commercial Project Manager will lead strategic commercial initiatives for the Endoscopy division. This person will work collaboratively across various functions, sites, and regions to develop and lead the execution of both project strategies and tactical plans to ensure the success of new product launches, digital initiatives, and development of new processes. In this highly visible role, you will contribute to refining the commercial project management tools and methodologies as we continue to advance the commercial project management capabilities of the PMO.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Ensure the success of key commercial programs in partnership with commercial teams by developing project plans, managing stakeholder communications, identifying, and mitigating project risks, and managing team performance.
- Lead core teams comprised of various marketing, sales, and other cross-functional team members and drive accountability to plans and milestones.
- Comfortably navigate competing stakeholder objectives to achieve business alignment on scope and strategy.
- Develop and leverage relationships with cross-functional stakeholders with the goal of becoming a trusted business partner at both the team and management levels.
- Interact with senior leaders on complex matters requiring coordination across organizations.
- Develop new project management tools and methodologies to advance the capabilities for PMO leadership of global commercial projects.
- Ensure current BSC Quality System policies/practices and accurate documentation requirements are followed.
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5+ years of relevant experience, including 2+ years of commercial experience working with marketing and/or sales
- Track record of success leading large, cross-functional, and complex projects/programs
- Understanding of various marketing & commercial functions and responsibilities
- Understanding of project management methodologies and tools
- Communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Experience with risk management and issue resolution
- Proficiency in project management software and tools such as Microsoft Project or Smartsheet to develop and maintain project plans
- Proficiency in MS Office applications
- Ability to travel as needed, up to 20%
Preferred qualifications and competencies:
- Master’s degree in business or related field
- Project Management Professional Certification (PMP)
- Background in medical devices
- Experience leading marketing, commercial, or digital initiatives
