Job Description / Duties:
Develops, writes, edits, indexes and publishes technical reports, documents and procedures in accordance with company standards, protocol and guidelines; coordinates approval of procedures, working with other managers and with engineering support to ensure they meet requirements, etc.; leads production and revision of 150 procedures, ensuring they are generated to BWXT's rigorous quality assurance program processes; participates in policy and procedure development, ensuring accuracy, consistency and clarity; edits policies, procedures and other materials; researches sources cited in policies and procedures; assists department personnel in identifying conflicting policies and procedures to resolve conflicts and revise documents accordingly.
Job Qualifications / Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Journalism, English, Technical Writing, or a related field emphasizing written and oral communication combined with at least 10 years related work experience; knowledge of the principles and practices of effective organization, administration, management and communication; knowledge of editorial standards; knowledge of grammar including usage and punctuation; and skilled in expressing ideas and information clearly, concisely and accurately, both orally and in writing.
